I discovered one thing that has been bothering me about my tablet art in general: crappy linework. It's all well and good when I'm doing a sketch but when it comes to doing more refined drawings I notice something is very lacking.
That's one reason I wanted to play around with other brushes, but the other thing I should do is alter my settings in OC. As you may see here I've raised the maximum thickness, although at this point it is in fact "too" thick. I'll figure out a set that is to my liking eventually.
However I also know that I definitely want to at least partially change the way the color is laid down, so I'm going to do a couple of pages in GIMP to see how that goes. Downside of GIMP is that its brush set behaves in a very different way with pressure sensitivity, so I'll still do the lineart in Open Canvas for the time being.
